Functional Completeness and Complexity, what's it about? Vincent?

So, as I'm sure I'm not the only one curious about this, what exactly was the Functional Completeness and Complexity criteria about? I mean, what was it exactly that the judges were looking for?

And while I'm here, congratulations to the six finalists! :)

For judging process, we have given a mark to all 725 submissions (unfortunatly the leaderboard doesn't display the mark and the position for the 725 people). We have judged 4 parts : navigation outside the crater, navigation inside, rocks analysis and heatshield searching. For each part, we have given two marks, one for execution, one for the code (the code is a little bit more important that the execution).

For the code we have given better mark to the most autonomous robot according the competition spirit  (for example, a robot that uses image processing and comlink data to get out the crater is better from a rover which uses a hard coded path to get out).

Anyway, we have seen a lot of amazing things (all of judged submissions were 725 ones), the challenge was difficult, so congrulations all of you !

I see. Thank you for the explanation Vincent :)

I'm assuming that the "mark" given to the 725 people would be a grade or score or sorts.

Would it be possible for the marks given to the 725 submissions be made public? Perhaps as a thread in this forum?

I, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one, am rather curious to see how I fared.

    My english isn't perfect :p Yes it's a score/grade/... (1 to 5 for each part)

I really don't know, I will ask (and post them if I can)

Oh, sorry if I came off as if I was criticizing your English Vincent :| not my intention, I was just clarifying.

Thank you for posting the rankings :)

Oh, do you mean we'll get feedback on our entries? :D I was just thinking about this a while ago, if so, then brilliant! I was hoping for something like that so that we'd be able to learn a little more from this round :)

    Thanks again Vincent :)
