    Cloud services used

    Hi,
I've got a question for competitors.
Have you used any of the following cloud services or suggested them? What other services have you used in your submission?
    - Windows Azure
    - SQL Azure
    - BPOS (I've used BPOS services without SharePoint)
    - Forefront Online (any)
    - Office 365
    - InTune
    - System Center Advisor
    - any other?
Now, it's after the submitting deadline so it would be not used against you :)

    I've used:
    - BPOS (without SharePoint) with suggestion to migrate to Office 365 later (also without SharePoint)
    - Windows Azure
    - InTune (to get Windows 7 Enterprise for laptops and to manage them in an easy way from web browser :) )

I've done a poll and there's no multianswer option :(

On the cloud side, i proposed
    • Office365 Enterprise, specially because of Lync and SSO
    • Windows Azure - worker and storage. For basic application, SQL Azure can be "emulate" by a geek programmer into Azure Storage table
InTune comes with many feature similar to SCCM, but not have remote OS deployment and can't manage servers. It's price increase faster than SCCM for more than 100PCs

As far as I know, there is no way to exclude SharePoint Online from Office365 and I don't know why! Company123 could have excellent content publishing sites available from the internet.

I've used Office365 for enterprises in order to meet all requirments. And of course, Windows Azure for the "geek programmer". But if there are no sentences in study about him, I would recommend to use typical SharePoint solution in SharePoint Online that can achive this goal like a peace of cake!

In my opinion, because Office365 isstill in beta version,so I recommended the Foundation use BPOS,rather than Office365.
But I also have a NOTE said:recommend the Foundation to use Office365 instead of BPOS when after the Office365 publish the official/release version.:)

zonlijie I've done the same note - to use BPOS now and migrate to Office365 as soon as it will be published :)

    That is a good question!

I use Office 365 regularly, have used Intune to manage test clients and had used Windows Azure a long time back. My doubt here is - how important is Windows Azure from and IT Challenge Round 2 point of view? Isn't Azure more for the developers rather than the IT Pro guys like us?

From the point of view of IT Challenge case study, you must know what Azure is, and how can be configured for access and basic configuration. Configuration, providing access and integrating with other technologies is IT Pro staff.

    Good luck!
