    How many submissions

    Hey there!

Now I don't feel guilty for posting anymore since I won't be disrupting anyone's uploads.

So, while we eagerly wait for the results, I would like to know from the organizers how many submissions we had this year. I honestly hope we had a bigger percentage of people who qualified submitting their case studies. Last year, a very small percentage of qualified contestants submitted their case studies. This year, at least from Microsoft Brasil, there was much more support and incentive, and I really hope this reflects on an increase on that number.

Now, off to patiently waiting again :)

Hey Valy(or any of the other captains),

Would it be possible for you guys to put up a list of the submitted proposals? Like you did last year? Just in case of any issues/problems? So that we know that our proposal has indeed reached you guys?

    Re: How many submissions

First at all we must made a short validation of submissions and after that we will ask organizers if it is posible to send a list with submiters. Until there you can verify into your competition page if there all checkboxes are checked.

Another way is to investigate if we can send e-mails for all competitors to confirm that submision it is OK.

But... we didn't experience any problems in submission until now.

    Good luck!

    Re: How many submissions

well I guess what we'd really want to know is how many of us sent the round 2 proposal, just the number in general, without country rank or anything else, just raw data saying that from 500+ competitors x sent their proposals

is it possible to give us this kind of feedback?

    Re: How many submissions

From 500+ round 2 qualifiers, 60 submitted proposals. That's about 10% better than last years numbers, which is great.

Round 2 is very tough and requires a lot of effort, so kudos to those that submitted their proposals. You are all winners by making it this far. There were a number of really good proposals, so competition will be stiff and the judges will have a lot of work to do evaluating the proposals.

    Good luck!

    Re: How many submissions

good to know that i'll be at least 60-th :)

will there be final results as last year? (everyone got their score, not just the information they got or didn't get to the finals)

There is supposed to be a leader board with the final scores on round 2. But if there is not, I'll post the scores in the forum.

    Good luck!

After reading that, i checked it in the home page of IT Challenge I think...

And in fact there are 2 boxes unchecked :

Review the Round 2 Case Study and Write Your Recommendation Document

    What are those steps ??

After the deadline, can you tell us the exact number of submitted proposals supplement with country number?

    Example :

    4 - France

    4 - Romania

    2 - Hungary

    ...

If I'm not wrong 10 people from 10 country will go to 3rd round.

It is a very good competition, the best!

Yes we can do that for all of you. First Chris will validate all proposal and after that we can create a short statistic about this topic.

Congratulatuion for all that finished, and Good luck!

    Re: How many submissions

Good to see that my thread is still alive and kicking =P

Well, definitely wait for the deadline to be over, because there are tons of last-minute submitters (me!).

Seriously though, this year I managed to do it some good 15 minutes before the deadline. Last year I was counting the seconds =/

Good luck everyone, hope to see you in Cairo!

Also, (unfortunately), I take back what I said about Microsoft Brasil in the first post. I'm not sure why (I bet they have a reason), but this year there was no support whatsoever for the competitors =/ There are still many great people there who were willing to do all they could though, I can't complain =P

Why the heck don't my line breaks show up properly?
